December 2025 Edition
Hello there and happy holidays to you and yours!
Well, last time I wrote to you it was all about turkey and stuffing, and this time it's all gingerbread and eggnog. But whatever’s on your menu, I sure hope you had a wonderful Christmas or a happy Hanukkah with your family. Gosh it’s hard to believe the year 2025 is almost through, the 27th year since the start of our band back in 1998, and a year filled with countless milestones, wonderful new music, and many happy faces out there in the crowd. We love what we do, and we simply couldn’t do it without your love and support - so thank you! And very special thanks if you came out to see us on our first ever Holiday Hootenanny tour.
We had a ton of fun bringing the Christmas cheer to your town, as you can see in our brand new video, conveniently titled “December 26”, filmed a few weeks ago at the Capital One Center in Tysons, Virginia courtesy of our pal Julia Golonka. Julia’s amazing documentary about pioneering balladeer Hazel Dickens first brought her to our attention. What also makes our song “December 26” special is that it was written by our amazing bassist and recordist Morgan Jahnig, his first ever Old Crow cut! Well HERE it is, the world premiere of our new video. Also head over to our webstore HERE to take advantage of a special holiday sale going on!
With 2026 right around the corner it can only mean one thing, time for OCMS to gear up for its year-end ball dropping spectacle, New Year’s Eve at the Ryman Auditorium, a Nashville tradition since 2008. This year we’re proud to announce the support of our fabulous openers Shovels and Rope with Kentuckian rising stars The Creekers on 12/31, and on 12/30 with one of Music City's most buzzed about bands, The 503, with West Coast bluegrass phenoms AJ Lee and Blue Summit. Just a scant few tickets are still available as of press time, so gobble ‘em up while you still can. If you miss out, not to worry because the world famous 650 AM WSM will be carrying the full uninterrupted show on New Year’s night for your listening pleasure, and streaming all around the globe on the WSM mobile app. It’s going to be an amazing kick off to 2026 and we hope you’ll bear witness to it, whether in person or on the airwaves.
Until then, here’s wishing you much love, luck, health, and prayers for peace in the new year. Thanks again for your support of our band. We’re excited about next year and hope it brings us even closer to you.
Best Regards,
Ketch
